Amnesty Human Rights Controversy: BJP leaders as opposition got courage from Amnesty International, when it came to power

  • The central government says Amnesty International has violated the provisions of the Foreign Exchange Management Act and the Foreign Exchange Act.
  • Amnesty International says: "We questioned the role of police in the Delhi riots and human rights violations in Kashmir, which offended the central government."

It is January 1977. Emergency was imposed in the country and all the major leaders of the opposition were imprisoned. LK Advani was one of them. He was meanwhile lodged in Bangalore Central Jail. Advani used to write diaries regularly during his visit to the jail. The diary was later published as his book, A Prisoners Scrap Book.

Referring to the incident of January 18, 1977 in this book, Advani writes that when I returned to my room at about half past five, I saw a pile of letters in the bed. It contained more than six lots. Almost all of these letters came from abroad and were sent by members and supporters of Amnesty International. Most of them wished a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. However, one or two lines were written in all of them which gave us all the courage and confidence to fight against atrocities.

At that time, LK Advani was the greatest leader of the Indian Jana Sangh. Going beyond the same Bharatiya Jana Sangh, the Bharatiya Janata Party was formed, which has a strong government in the country today. However, the same things that Amnesty International used to give courage and hope to the Jana Sangh leaders at that time are now troubling the BJP leaders.

Amnesty International, which has been working on human rights issues in the country for the past several years, recently announced the closure of its work here. The organization has alleged that the central government is constantly creating difficulties in its work by fabricating cases. On September 10, all Amnesty International bank accounts were frozen. The organization later announced the closure of its work.

The central government says Amnesty International has violated the rules by taking money from abroad. The government says the organization has violated the provisions of the Foreign Currency Management Act and the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act. Following this, action has been taken against him.

Avinash Kumar, executive director of Amnesty International India, on the other hand, says banning the organization's accounts is not an accident. For the last two years, the central government has been harassing the organization through various means.

He believes Amnesty International has questioned the role of the police in the riots in Delhi. Apart from this, the organization has also made various statements on cases of human rights violations in Kashmir, which has caused the central government the most trouble.

This is not the first time that Amnesty International has been prosecuted. Even during the tenure of the UPA government, many questions have been raised about this organization and it has been accused of taking foreign money and working on a foreign agenda by violating the rules.

Amnesty International had to close its operations in the country in 2009 when its FCRA license was revoked. Then in 2012 Amnesty International resumed its work in India.

Mahtab Alam, a senior journalist who has worked with Amnesty International, says it is true that Amnesty International does not have an FCRA license. Any NGO has to get this license to take foreign money. However, Amnesty International has been running with Indian donors' money since 2012 and this fact is not hidden from anyone. The entire information on the organization's website is how many branches it is running and where its money comes from.

During the Emergency, Amnesty International campaigned for the release of all leaders like Jayaprakash Narayan, Morarji Desai and LK Advani. The campaign was not to the liking of the then Indira Gandhi government. However, Morarji Desai, who became the Prime Minister when the Bharatiya Janata Party formed the government, openly praised Amnesty International's efforts.

A similar campaign was now being run by Amnesty International for many social activists arrested in the Bhima-Koregaon case. This campaign seems appropriate to the opposition today. However, the ruling party and the central government feel that such a campaign is tantamount to interfering in the internal affairs of the country.

Despite all this, it is important to have an organization like Amnesty International. The reason is that the National Human Rights Commission has also taken note of the matter and sought a reply from the Home Secretary.

The commission said Amnesty International was a respected organization working on human rights issues around the world. The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has sought clarification from the Union Home Ministry on the allegations leveled by the organization against the central government and asked it to file a reply within six weeks.

Where to get a smartphone to study if there is no food ?

October 07, 2020

Where to get a smartphone to study if there is no food ?: ‘I earn 200 rupees a day, if I give children a phone, will I feed them?’ The same situation from Mumbai to small villages

  • Schools are conducting online studies, but daily wage earners do not have enough money to buy smartphones for children.
  • Some go to a friend's house to study, some wait for a group activity, many have to leave their studies in lockdown.
"I earn 200 rupees a day and sometimes I get a job but sometimes I don't. Soybean work is going on now, so it is getting daily. I can barely earn five-six thousand rupees a month. Now fill the stomach of the family or give smartphones to the children. 'This is the grief of Sohan Munia who lives in Chandodia village of Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh. They were working on the farm while we were talking to them. They leave at 9 a.m. to earn a living. Returning home at 7 p.m. Asked them how are the kids studying if you don’t have a smartphone in your house? In response, he said, there are books, from which they keep studying on their own. From time to time masters come to the village, they gather and teach the children. Now only two or four children in the village have smartphones, so no one is studying online.

This is just one example. Online studies are done after the lockdown, but the children of the poor are not lucky either. Such a situation exists not only in villages, but also in cities like Mumbai. Rancey Leon is a standard 7 student and lives in Dharavi. Dharavi is considered to be the largest slum in Asia. Rancey was admitted to the Auxilium Convent School in Wadala by a trust but has been having great difficulty in studying since he started studying online, as he does not have a smartphone. Rancy lives with her mother's glory. Prior to the lockdown, Mahima had gone for cleaning work. She used to pay rent and raise her daughter, but after the lockdown, she stopped working and stopped earning. Mahima can't even pay the rent right now. He said, the rations that people sell provide food for months, so how can I give a smartphone to my daughter? Asked how she was studying, she said she went to a friend's house to study. He has a smartphone. WhatsApp takes note of the content that comes in the group. Stays at a friend's house from 7.30am to 12pm. Like Rancy and Anil, Bijalpur's Sharmili can't study because she doesn't have a smartphone. "Teachers keep coming from the school in our village and they teach the children away from each other," says Bhanwar Singh, Sharmili's father. Very few children in the village have a smartphone so only a few children can study online.

Kamal Singh Thakur, coordinator of Dhar's support project, said that online study materials from Bhopal come to the WhatsApp group every day. The teachers pass it on to the children, but the fact is that most of the children in the village do not have a smartphone, so they cannot take advantage of it. Although our staff goes to the village one by one, Babbe Diwas helps the children to study. Sometimes a child has a phone and is told to study with four or five children in a group so that everyone can have study materials.

The NCIRT survey itself also says that children do not have smartphones. According to the survey, about 27 percent of children do not have a smartphone or laptop. While 28 per cent of children and parents considered electricity to be the biggest obstacle in online studies. The survey involved 34,000 people, including the views of parents, teachers and principals. While the Smile Foundation, an NGO working for child rights, conducted a survey among 42831 students, which found that 56 per cent children do not have a smartphone to study. According to official figures, there are more than 350 million students in the country but it is not known how many of them have access to digital devices and internet. The survey was conducted from April 16 to 18 in 23 states. According to reports, there are about 16 lakh students in Delhi alone who do not have access to smartphones or internet for study.

The way the country fought against Corona unitedly, has proven many apprehensions wrong. Today, the recovery rate in our country is better compared to other countries; the mortality rate is much less as well, compared to most of the other countries. Of course, the loss of even one life is saddening, but India has also succeeded in saving the lives of millions of people. But, the hazards of coronavirus are far from being over. At many places, it is spreading fast. We need to be extra vigilant. We have to bear in mind that coronavirus is as fatal today as it was in the beginning – that’s why we have to be fully cautioned. Wearing a face mask, using a gamchcha or a light towel to cover, two-yard distancing, frequently washing hands, avoiding spitting anywhere, taking full precautions in terms of hygiene and sanitation – these are our weapons to protect us from the highly contagious virus.

Mother tongue is the best medium of education

September 29, 2020

Literary writer Shri Gunawantabhai Shah, who is known for the importance of mother tongue, has given a very true and funny slogan, "Mother tongue comes after mother's breastfeeding."

As the baby's physical constitution changes during pregnancy, so does his mental constitution.  This mental structure of hers is largely influenced by her mother's behavior, attitudes, lifestyle and the surrounding environment.  Handling language, capturing language from above;  The ability to understand, to learn is in the human brain.  And, this ability is activated from the time the baby is in the womb.  By the time a child is two years old, the child's brain becomes highly skilled at absorbing deaf language.  If the child does not have hearing problems, he learns the mother tongue by listening.  From the womb the child begins to learn the mother tongue, so it is called the mother tongue.  By the time a child is five years old, he learns about two thousand words of the mother tongue with their meaning and value and takes them into experience.  Even after studying 1st to 10th standard in English medium, a child cannot realize the value and experience of so many words in English language.

The child quickly acquires knowledge in the mother tongue

Learning requires freedom of thought and imagination, which is why mother tongue education is essential.

 A child's mind is like a pot.

Not so much the beauty of the pot, but the creator.

It is the parent's responsibility to protect the child's integrity,

Openness comes through mother tongue education.

The mother tongue is the source of inspiration.

The mother tongue is a beacon of guidance.

Mother tongue is the moment that makes life sweet.

Mother tongue is the art of love.

There is the art of communicating.

The mother tongue is a platform to practice listening.

Mother tongue is fun to research.

Mother tongue is the art of providing inspiration through praise.

There are golden moments in a marital marital relationship.

Mother tongue is the art of respect.

Mother tongue is faith in God.

Every child has the testimony of God that nature still has faith in mankind.

First Opinion Moto e7 Plus

September 29, 2020

First Opinion: Rs 9499 Moto e7 Plus with 6.5 inch display and 48MP camera, find out who is the close competitor of the phone, is the phone value for money?

Moto e7 Plus

  • Single 4GB + 64GB variant of Moto e7 Plus launched, priced at Rs 9499
  • It competes with the 4GB + 64GB variant of the Narzo 20A, which is priced the same as the Moto E7 Plus.

Motorola has recently launched the Moto e7 Plus smartphone in India. The company has launched it as a budget smartphone. It is designed with low budget customers in mind. What's new in Moto e7 Plus? What features does the phone have? And what is the price of the phone? Is this phone value phone money? And who is its close competitor? Let's start his first opinion to know all these things ...

How much does the Moto E7 Plus cost?

First of all, if we talk about the price of the phone, the 4GB + 64GB single variant of the phone is priced at Rs 9499. Its storage can be expanded up to 512GB. For that you have to buy an SD card.
The phone is available in Misty Blue and Twilight Orange color variants. The first cell of the phone will launch on Flipkart on September 30th.

What are the best parts of the phone?

Moto e7 Plus

First: 48MP camera

The first best part of the phone is that it comes with a 48MP primary camera, which is value for money according to its price. There is also a 2MP secondary rear camera. The 48MP main camera works on quad pixel technology, which is 4 times more light sensitive. In night vision mode it also takes bright photos at night and its depth sensor gives a good blur effect to the portrait photo. Apart from this, it also has features like smile capture, spot color mode and bokeh mode.

Second: 5000mAh battery

The phone comes with a 5000mAh battery. The company claims that the phone offers a battery life of 2 days. The battery supports 10 watt fast charging. However, the company says that the battery life can be reduced depending on the signal strength, network, device setting, temperature, battery condition and usage.

Third: Display and design

The phone has a 6.5 inch HD + IPS TFT LCD display. It has a 20: 9 aspect ratio and a high screen-to-body ratio, with a great movie and gaming experience. The dimensions of the phone are 165.21 x 75.73 x 9.18mm. It weighs only 200 grams. Its body is made of plastic. The company claims that it has a water repellent design, but it is not waterproof but will protect the phone from light splashes of water. It has a special separate button for using Google Assistant.

With whom will it clash in the market?

In the market, this phone will compete with the recently launched Realmy narzo 20A. The narzo 20A 3GB + 32GB storage is priced at Rs 8499 and the 4GB + 64GB storage variant is priced at Rs 9499. So there is a big clash between the Moto E7 Plus and the Narzo 20A (4GB + 64GB). Let us know which phone is the best from its basic specification comparison ...

  • Moto e7 plus narzo 20A
  • Display size 6.5 inches 6.5 inches
  • Display Type HD + IPS TFT LCD HD +
  • SIM Type 2 Slots (2 Nano SIM / 1 Nano SIM + 1 Micro SD) 3 Slots (2 Nano SIM + 1 Micro SD)
  • OS Android 10 Realm UI based Android 10
  • Processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 Qualcomm Snapdragon 665
  • RAM / ROM 4GB + 64GB 3GB + 32GB / 4GB + 64GB
  • Expandable 512GB 256GB
  • Rear camera 48MP + 2MP 12MP AI triple camera
  • Front camera 8MP 8MP
  • Battery 5000mAh with 10W charging 5000mAh with 10W reverse charging
  • Connectivity Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack
  • Security fingerprint, face unlock fingerprint
  • Sensors Proximeter, Accelerometer, Ambient Light Magnetic Induction Sensor, Light Sensor, Proximeter, Gyroscope, Accelerometer
  • Dimensions 165.21x75.73x9.18mm 164.4x75.4x8.9mm
  • Weight 200 g 195 g
  • Color Misty Blue, Twilight Orange Glory Silver, Victory Blue
  • Price 4GB + 64GB: Rs
  • 3GB + 32GB: Rs
  • 4GB + 64GB: Rs

  • It can be seen in the specification comparison that both are competitors of each other. The screen size and display type are almost the same, but the processor is ahead of the Narzo 20A Snapdragon 655 processor, meaning the Moto E7 Plus may have to compromise on processing speed somewhere.
  • The camera is precisely forward with a 48MP dual camera but the Narzo 20A has a total of 3 cameras with a 12MP main camera. However, both will get an 8MP lens for selfies.
  • Most importantly, the Moto E7 Plus has only two card slots, in which you can install a Nano SIM and a micro SD card or both Nano SIMs. But in Narzo 20A you get three card slots, which means you can also install a micro SD card with two Nano SIMs.

  • In terms of battery, both have a 5000mAh battery, but Motorola claims that the Moto E7 Plus has a battery life of two days, while the Narzo 20A has a standby time of 40 days, as well as reverse charging support.
  • In terms of dimensions, the Narzo 20A is a bit thinner with 8.9mm depth and weighs less than the Moto E7 Plus with 195 grams.
  • What's special is that the Narzo 20A will have a dual mode music share feature, which means it can connect two earphones at once. In addition, due to the Realmy UI based Android, you will get a good experience of using the Narzo 20A phone, while the Narzo 20A will only have a stock Android experience.

Our opinion

The price of both the phones is the same. If you have a processor priority and no camera, you can choose the real narzo 20A. If you want a good camera on a low budget then you can opt for the Moto e7 Plus.

  • The two companies have also set up a legal team for revenue sharing, the report said, citing a source. Currently there are 2 possibilities first 50:50 sharing and second Reliance Jio will take revenue from PUBG Corporation based on a fixed number of PUBG users per month.

Microsoft-Reliance Jio will also launch a game streaming service

  • This is only an early stage conversation if the report is believed to be true. If the deal goes through, it will help Reliance Industries Ltd. to enter the gaming market. "Even if music, movie and television shows are put together, the gaming segment is big," Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries Ltd., told Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft Corporation. India has great potential for its development.
  • Apart from this, Microsoft has confirmed that it is working with Reliance Jio to launch Project X Cloud Game Streaming Service in India.
